Your tasks with us are:
The training is possible in four specializations: turning technology, automatic turning technology, milling technology, and grinding technology. Machinists produce smaller and larger parts on grinding, turning, or milling machines. Internal parts of machines, vehicles, or even household appliances must fit precisely to the millimeter, which can even be crucial for safety. They are assisted by computer-controlled machines, which they program and set up.
Important activities depending on the specialization are:
- Setting up the turning, milling, or grinding machines or the tool -
and workpiece clamping systems as well as their movement sequences of the machines
- Processing workpieces from different materials
- Producing dimensionally accurate workpieces
You should also:
- Have an interest in technical contexts
- Work very precisely and carefully
- Have spatial imagination
- Have good grades in math
