Manufacturing and Calculations of Components

    Our stainless steel pressure components are standardly designed and calculated according to AD2000.
    The proven set of rules enjoys high acceptance even outside Germany due to its testing and documentation requirements.

Our pressure equipment can be delivered with the following 
inspections or approvals:

  • PED 2014/68/EU Module A to H/H1

    Depending on the hazard potential and state of aggregation, pressure equipment is classified into categories I to IV. Factors for this are the design pressure and volume of the container. Each category includes one or more modules (Module A to H/H1)

  • ASME Sec. VIII Div. 1 U-Stamp, UM-Stamp and R-Stamp

    Sommer und Strassburger is a stamp holder for U and UM inspections of pressure equipment. Pressure equipment with a U or UM stamp is designed, calculated, and manufactured according to ASME code.

  • SELO License (China Special Equipment Licensing Office)

    Also called China Manufacturing License or China Stamp. Approval procedure of the Chinese authority for pressure vessels.

  • KEA (Korea Energy Agency)

    Certification of machines and equipment for the South Korean market.

  • CRN (Canadian Registration)

    Pressure equipment for the Canadian market must meet the requirements of individual provinces. These can vary from province to province. After approval, a Canadian Registration Number is assigned, with which the pressure vessel is marked.

  • JIS (Japanese industrial standard)

    The Japanese Industrial Standards determine the standards used in Japan for industrial activities.

  • UKCA Module H /H1

    Sommer und Strassburger, part of INEX solutions, now also holds the UKCA certificate. The UKCA marking (UK Conformity Assessed) is used as a replacement for the CE marking requirements for products placed on the market in Great Britain.
